Import your first vocabulary

Add vocabulary cards to Lexorium so you can review them in Play. You can import from Readwise, buy a package from the Store, or do both.

Before you start

• A Lexorium account (Create an account)
• For Readwise: an API token from readwise.io/access_token and at least one highlight tagged for Lexorium (see Annotate words for Lexorium)

Option A — Import from Readwise

1. Open Settings from your account menu.
2. Under Readwise API key, paste your token into API key.
3. Click Save API key (or Update API key if you are replacing one).

Saving the key does not import highlights by itself.

1. Under Import highlights, click Import now.
2. Open your card library (Lexorium logo) and confirm cards appear.

You can also use Fetch from Readwise in the header after a key is saved.

Option B — Buy or claim a package

1. Open Store.
2. Find a vocabulary package and click Add to cart.
3. Click Checkout with Stripe (free packages are claimed without payment).
4. After Purchase complete, click View cards.

Vocab packages copy cards into your library. Text packages unlock reading instead — see Add a package to your library.

If definitions are missing

1. Open Settings.
2. Under Definitions, click Populate missing definitions.

Troubleshooting

• No vocab cards yet after Readwise import: confirm the highlight note begins or ends with vocab or vocab:latin (or another vocab:language tag). See Troubleshoot an import.
• Empty library and no Readwise key: use Go to settings or Browse store from the empty state.
