Start a review
Use Recommended practice to review due cards with the retrieval task Lexorium suggests for each word.
Before you start
- You are signed in
- You have cards with meanings in your library
This page covers the practice interface only. For why cards become due, see How Lexorium schedules reviews. For why a particular game appears, see Understanding mastery.
Open Recommended practice
- Open Play.
- Optionally filter by language, package, or chapter (All, No package, All chapters, Unassigned, or a specific package/chapter).
- Select Recommended practice.

During a session
- Read the prompt for the current card.
- Choose an answer or type your response (depends on the task).
- Click Check.
- Optionally click Hint before checking if you are stuck.
- After feedback (Correct! or Not quite), click Next to continue or Finish to end early.

When you finish
On Session complete you can:
- Practice again — start another session with the same filters
- Back to games — return to the Play lobby
- Back to cards — return to your card library
All caught up
If you see All caught up, nothing is due right now. Lexorium may still offer a small sample of cards that are not yet due so you can keep practicing. Your next due time may be shown on that screen.
If you own a reading text, Recommended practice draws from that text: it reviews saved words that appear there, and may introduce one new word at a time in a supportive sentence from the text. Wrong-answer choices for a new word come from elsewhere, not from the same sentence.
Troubleshooting
- No practice available: confirm cards have translations or definitions. Use Populate missing definitions in Settings if needed.
- Wrong language or package: change the filters on Play before opening Recommended practice.
