Play learning games

Choose a specific learning game from the Play lobby when you want to practice one skill at a time instead of adaptive Recommended practice.

Before you start

You are signed in
You have cards to practice (some games need extra data such as a context sentence or a Latin paradigm)

Open Play.
Optionally filter by language, package, or chapter.
Select a game title from the lobby (for example Matching (word → meaning) or Typing).
Play the session, then use Play again or Back to games when finished.

While a game is open, the Play control may show Stop so you can leave the session.

Matching (word → meaning)	Pick the meaning for a word
Reverse Matching (meaning → word)	Pick the word for a meaning
Typing	Type the word from memory
Declensions	Practice Latin forms (Latin filter only)
Concentration	Match pairs (lobby only; not used in Recommended practice)
Context Detective	Use a sentence context to find the meaning
Lemma Hunt	Find the dictionary form from an inflected Latin word (Latin only)
Cloze	Fill a blank in a sentence from your texts or a generated one
Contrast	Choose the right word among near-neighbors once both are established
Translate	Read an English sentence and type the learning-language translation
Grammar	Identify the part of speech or grammatical form of a highlighted word (lobby only; not used in Recommended practice)

Latin-only games are hidden when your language filter is not Latin.

Recommended practice picks due cards and chooses a task from your weaker skills.
A single lobby game always uses that mode for the session.

A Latin game is missing: set the language filter to Latin (or All when your deck includes Latin).
Context Detective has nothing to show: cards need a usable context sentence, or you need an owned vocab package that includes context.
