Import highlights

Pull tagged Readwise highlights into Lexorium as vocabulary cards.

Before you start

• A saved Readwise API key — Connect Readwise
• Highlights annotated with vocab or vocab:language — Annotate words for Lexorium

Import now from Settings

1. Open Settings.
2. Under Import highlights, review Stored cards and Last imported if shown.
3. Click Import now.

1. Open your card library and confirm new or updated cards.

Import from the header

1. After a key is saved, click Fetch from Readwise in the header (cloud download control).
2. Wait for the import to finish, then check your cards.

Automatic import

When you open your card library, Lexorium may import automatically if you have a saved key and the last import was more than 12 hours ago (or never ran).

After import

Lexorium tries to fill in missing definitions and translations for new cards. If some cards still lack meanings:

1. Open Settings.
2. Click Populate missing definitions.

What happens to existing cards

• Matching highlights update the linked Lexorium card when you have not edited that card locally.
• Cards you edited in Lexorium are left alone (your local edits win).
• Removing or untagging a highlight in Readwise does not delete the Lexorium card.
